Texas Escapist Mission Statement

I am here to document and share my journey to finding my groove as a scrapbooker while condensing my crafting space into a RV-table-sized footprint.

Texas Escapist Vision Statement

My vision is to be an inspiration to other crafters who want to do more with less.  Whether they live a mobile lifestyle or in a small sticks and bricks home.

Texas Escapist Values

My values are:

  • Minimalism
  • Inclusiveness
  • Effective Habits
  • Honesty
  • Quality
  • Elevating Others

Who we are

I started this blog around 2015, not really sure where I wanted to to go, but I knew I wanted to incorporate travel (hence the, “Escapist”).  After a few ups and downs, including one life-altering event, Mr. Escapist and I realized that what we really wanted was the RV lifestyle.  We know nothing about RVing, let’s just put that out there right now.  We watch a lot of YouTube videos, and he took one vacation to Disney World in a motor home as a child, and I ate lunch in a Winnebago once, but that’s the extent of our knowledge.

This blog will be about us learning how to RV – the technical side, and the, “soft-skills,” side (aka, how to take a long vacation in a small space with your spouse and still love each other at the end).  Also, it will be about me re-discovering my groove as a scrapbooker, with the knowledge that I’m going to have to fit all my scrapbooking stuff in a teeny, tiny space by the time we’re ready to make the full-time RV leap.
